About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team! This Assistant Controller will help oversee ECG's day-to-day accounting activities and help manage the planning and coordinating of all financial functions of ECG such as financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, payroll, and more.

Job Duties:
  • You will oversees the preparation and production of periodic financial reports and ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • You will maintain and establish internal controls and documented accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and minimize risk.
  • You will prepares and monitors annual budgets and financial forecasts; analyzes variances and reports significant differences to management.
  • You will conduct ongoing financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • You will recommend and monitor benchmarks to measure company performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • You will manage tax planning throughout the fiscal year; prepare and file all required tax forms with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • You will coordinate and support external audits by compiling documentation and ensuring timely responses to auditor requests.
  • You will audit internal accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • You will reconcile bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and resolves discrepancies or inquiries from financial institutions.
  • You will ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial and labor regulations.
  • You will perform additional related duties and special projects as assigned.
Professional Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • (Preferred) 5 or more years of related experience
  • (Preferred) Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
  • Proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be comfortable working at a desk and using a computer for extended periods.

  • Able to travel as needed.

A typical hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 USD per year with the final offer based on your qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
