Position Overview:

The HR Operations Program & Delivery Lead is a key contributor on the People Operations team responsible for delivering cross-functional HR initiatives and managing select HR programs that drive operational excellence. This role combines hands-on execution of strategic projects with end-to-end program ownership, ensuring HR processes, tools, and services are scalable, employee-centered, and aligned to business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong HR operational knowledge, program management skills, and a track record of building sustainable solutions in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Ownership & Continuous Improvement

KRA: Operate and enhance People Operations programs to maximize impact and usability.

  • Drive daily execution of assigned People Operations programs to ensure smooth delivery, timely issue resolution, and consistent service levels.

  • Act as the strategic owner of assigned People programs by identifying improvement opportunities, optimizing workflows, and engaging stakeholders to evolve program impact and value

  • Monitor effectiveness of programs, identifying and implementing enhancements to improve impact and employee experience.

  • Partner with vendors, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage service delivery, resolve issues, and evolve offerings.

  • Ensure policies, standard work, workflows, and communication materials related to owned programs remain current, clear, and actionable.

  • Apply Lean thinking, continuous improvement tools, and root cause analysis to remove inefficiencies and build scalable, repeatable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve service consistency.

  • Track relevant KPIs and provide program-level insights and reporting to leadership.

Project Delivery & Ownership

KRA: Deliver People Operations projects from concept through implementation.

  • Drive assigned high-impact HR projects from initial scoping through to execution and post-launch support.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, align expectations, and ensure smooth delivery.

  • Proactively support the development and improvement of operational solutions, including workflows, documentation, communication plans, and tools.

  • Maintain and enhance user-friendly resources (e.g., Standard Work, Job Instructions, and DMAIC tools) to support adoption and long-term sustainability

  • Track progress, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery with clear, solution-focused updates to stakeholders.

  • Eliminate unnecessary complexity and non-value-added tasks by incorporating scalable process improvements that accelerate implementation and drive operational excellence.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in enterprise-level initiatives where People Operations expertise can drive executional success.

  • May be assigned and required to take on additional responsibilities, manage programs, or perform other functions as needed to support the goals and priorities in response to evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3–6 years of progressive experience in HR, People Operations, or business operations, with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects and manage program operations.

  • Proven track record of executing process and systems improvements from start to finish—without needing layers of delegation.

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, systems, or service delivery models; experience with HRIS or self-service tools preferred.

  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday, ZenDesk, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment and enjoys building from scratch.

  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to align stakeholders and translate complex work into clear outcomes.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, scaling, or transformational environments.

Location Requirement: 

This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings 

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software. 

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Compensation:

$92,996.55-DOE
