Job Description
What will be your role
As a Business Analyst, you will integrate the Data Strategy team of Devoteam Google Cloud and play a crucial role in helping our customers leverage their data to achieve their business objectives. You will work closely with various business stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze their processes, and translate these into functional & non-functional requirements for data and AI solutions on Google Cloud. Your primary focus will be on identifying opportunities where data can drive tangible business value and ensuring that the implemented solutions effectively meet the defined business goals.
What will be your day-to-day
Collaborate with customer stakeholders across various departments (i.e., marketing, sales, finance, operations, HR) to understand their business processes, challenges, and objectives.
Analyze existing business processes and value chains to identify areas for improvement through data-driven insights and analytics.
Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and meetings with business users and subject matter experts to gather requirements, define success criteria, and validate proposed solutions.
Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, process flows, and specifications for our Data and AI Engineers and Cloud Architects.
Document and maintain detailed business, functional & non-functional requirements for data and AI use cases, ensuring a clear link between business needs and proposed technical solutions.
Support the development of project roadmaps and assist in monitoring the progress of data solution implementations from a functional perspective, ensuring alignment with business expectations.
Assist in creating reports and presentations to communicate findings, progress, and the business value of implemented data solutions to both business and technical audiences.
Inform about current trends in Cloud BI, data analytics, and AI, and how they can be applied to solve specific business problems.
Qualifications
What we look for:
You have a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
You have 2+ years of experience in a role such as Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, IT Consultant, BI Consultant or within an IT department with a focus on data-related projects.
You have experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping, and functional analysis, preferably within Cloud data warehousing, BI, or analytics projects.
You have a good understanding of data analytics concepts and how data can be used to solve business problems, along with a general understanding of how cloud data platforms work from a functional perspective.
You have experience in stakeholder management and are comfortable communicating with individuals at various levels within an organization.
You have excellent communication and client-facing skills, including storytelling, active listening, and problem-solving.
You combine strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
You are based in The Netherlands, willing to commute to the Amsterdam area to our headquarters once a week, and to travel to our customers.
You are fluent in both spoken and written English, Dutch in a business context is a plus.
Nice to haves:
You ideally have practical experience with data governance concepts and their impact on business processes.
You ideally have some experience in supporting change management activities for technology transformation projects.
You ideally have experience with cloud solutions (GCP being the most interesting).
