Job Summary
Sales representatives serve as the first line of the customer experience, sell the Delta Mechanical brand, products, services, and build value with every interaction. They act as a main point of contact between the business and its customers.
Essential Job Functions
- Addresses customers via inbound and outbound calls and delivers the Delta Mechanical brand.
- Answers all inbound sales calls and makes all outbound sales calls assigned in a timely manner for maximum conversion of leads to sales.
- Builds rapport with every customer to gain a foundation of trust for the sale and the service; creates value with every call.
- Correctly identifies customers’ needs by using a series of scripted qualifiers and reasoning.
- Provides expert guidance and correctly recommends products and services according to customers’ needs. Draws from knowledge base to recommend alternatives and/or options to customer when necessary to save the sale.
- Sells the determined products and services at set prices to maintain company margins.
- Identifies opportunities to upsell and leverages sales strategies.
- Presents effective solutions to customer objections to overcome rebuttals and close the sale.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of company procedures and best practices, products and services offered, sales techniques, field technician teams and schedules, and code requirements for all applicable markets.
- Meets company metrics for closing rate, conversion rate, inbound and outbound calls.
- Upholds a level of commitment to and integrity to the customer and the company.
- Captures customer payment information.
- Creates job and contract in systems for all items sold and all customer information.
- Schedules customers’ installations according to the technician’s schedule and the customers’ needs.
- Meets monthly sales goals and contributes to sales team success as a motivated, energetic team member.
- Communicates with management to share customer feedback, areas of improvement, sales techniques.
- Completes all the required Company training/compliance courses assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- No prior experience or training required.
- This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
License & Certifications
- No specific licenses & certifications needed.

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of occasionally and/or minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
- Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with the skin, particularly that of the fingertips
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make discriminations in sound.
- Hands to Fingers: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand as in handling
- Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close Vison: Clear vision at 20 inches or less. Required to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading or visual inspections.
- Color Vision: Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment
- None: No exposure to adverse environmental conditions (typical office/administrative setting).
