- Target Students: Rising college/university seniors or juniors majoring in Film Production, Media Studies, Communication, Performing Arts, or related fields
- Number of Openings: 5 headcounts

ReelShort, the #1 vertical short-form content platform in the U.S., is proud to launch our Summer Internship Program! This is an 8-week immersive opportunity designed for aspiring filmmakers and media professionals to gain hands-on experience in one of the fastest-growing segments in the entertainment industry — short-form vertical storytelling.
You won’t just be observing — as an intern, you’ll be embedded in real production, post-production, and talent management teams, actively contributing to casting, content development, on-set operations, and post-production. This is your chance to help bring the next viral short-form series to life and gain a full-cycle understanding of how hits are made in the vertical drama space.

🎥 Internship Tracks
Interns will be placed into one of the following tracks based on interest, skillset, and team needs:
- Production Team
- Assist with script development, shot planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Participate in real-time, on-site vertical drama filming
- Support the production team in delivering game-changing shooting experiences
- Observe the post-production process, including offline editing
- Casting and Talent Relations
- Conduct research on talents in the vertical drama space
- Active / Project-Focused: Research emerging talents for ongoing projects
- Strategic / Insight-Driven: Identify and analyze talent trends within the vertical short-form content landscape
- Coordinate and support events such as casting calls, auditions, premieres, and fan engagement activities
- Post-Production Team
- Collaborate with editors, VFX artists, and coordinators to shape the final version of vertical short-form content
- Assist in managing post-production timelines, ensuring projects meet ReelShort's turnaround goal
- Observe and contribute to key phases such as offline editing, color correction, sound mixing, and final delivery
- Help organize assets, maintain workflow documentation, and support editorial efficiency
- Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
- Analyze editing styles and narrative structures unique to vertical storytelling for mobile-first platforms

📋Application & Selection Process
Step 1: Online Application Submission
Interested candidates must complete an online application form (please use the "Apply for this job" button to submit your application), which includes:
- A current resume
- Responses to the general questions and team-specific questions:
- Each of our three departments — Production, Post-Production, and Talent Management — has prepared 3 short questions.
- Applicants are required to answer the questions from two teams of their choice (6 questions total).
- Responding to all 9 team-specific questions is welcome but not mandatory. You may enter "N/A" for the team you are least interested in.
- Portfolio (if applicable)
Step 2: Application Review
Our recruitment team will carefully review all submissions. Candidates will be shortlisted based on:
- Relevant academic background or hands-on experience
- Alignment with ReelShort’s content, platform vision, and storytelling style
- Clear communication, creativity, and enthusiasm for the industry
Step 3: Interview Stage
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a virtual interview (20–30 minutes via video call), focusing on:
- Team and cultural fit
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Collaboration style and adaptability
Step 4: Offer & Onboarding
Final decisions will be made following interviews. A total of 5 candidates will receive official offers to join the program.
- An 8-week full-time commitment is required
- Program start date, onboarding details, and assigned team placement will be shared upon acceptance
