Description
The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy treatment interventions guided by a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist and as ordered by a Physician. Physical Therapist Assistant participates with a Physical Therapist in developing treatment programs for therapy patients.
Position Summary Expanded:
Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act,?(“The Unity Bill”) this position is considered a “Safety-sensitive position. “Safety-sensitive” is defined to include “any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.” Employees working in “safety-sensitive” roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- Associates Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school.
- Two (2) years pervious experience as Physical Therapist in a hospital setting.
- Previous hospital experience preferred
Licensure/Certification
- Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistance in the state of Oklahoma.
- Current BCLS certification.
