The PositionWe are a rapidly growing healthcare technology company seeking a Data Science leader. As the leader of our Data Science team, you will be a player-coach who thrives at the intersection of technical execution and strategic leadership. In this hybrid role, you’ll be expected to build alongside your team while also mentoring, guiding, and setting vision. You’ll drive high-impact projects, roll up your sleeves to solve hard problems, and shape the growth and culture of the team. The role partners very closely with the Product Development, Customer Experience and Solution Consulting team to support AI / machine learning and analytical consulting solutions. Our products generate actionable business and clinical insights for biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Responsibilities
- Manages a team of data scientists and analytical data engineers to execute the data science roadmap and support advanced analytics initiatives across our products and services.
- Leads data scientists in generating business insights for analytical consulting projects and supports their delivery to customers in collaboration with the Solution Consulting and Customer Experience teams.
- Guides the research and productization of advanced analytics and ML solutions to solve practical industry problems and enhance the user experience of our platform.
- Drives the design and implementation of the Analytics Data Model, ensuring architectural quality, consistency, and security to support scalable deployment of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions.
- Oversees Analytical Data Engineering functions to integrate a diverse range of structured and unstructured data into the Data Science warehouse; delivers advanced business intelligence reporting on both an ad hoc and productionized basis.
- Effectively communicates analytical insights and the implications of AI/ML modeling to internal and external stakeholders; presents methodologies and findings to clients as needed.
- Ensures the Data Science team produces secure, high-quality production code within a multi-tenant architecture, with an emphasis on insights, compliance, and scalability.
- Fosters innovation through cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Product Development and Customer Experience teams.
- Partners with the Product Development team to oversee live operations of our SaaS offering, ensuring delivery on reliability, availability, and performance commitments to customers.
- Stays current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to drive ongoing platform innovation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience managing a Data Science / Advanced Analytics function that drives both business insights and algorithmic research.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in advanced biopharma analytics for Commercial and/or Market Access teams, analyzing large datasets for senior industry decision-makers.
- Strong blend of deep theoretical grounding and hands-on expertise in statistical and machine learning methodologies, including but not limited to: Marketing Mix Modeling, Classification, Regression, Time Series, NLP, A/B testing, and experimental design. Demonstrated ability to apply advanced algorithms to solve practical business challenges.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL, with a strong grasp of best practices for using these languages (and related tools such as Snowpark) within Snowflake environments.
- Deep understanding of data modeling concepts including ETL processes, data structures, metadata, and workflow management.
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate data-driven insights and technical approaches to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of thriving in fast-paced environments, with experience in both enterprise-class software releases and rapid, iterative SaaS product cycles.
- Exceptional ability to prioritize, organize, and execute multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated judgment and decision-making ability within broadly defined practices and policies, including the selection of methodologies and evaluation criteria for measuring impact.
- M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred:
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of data and/or operational workflows in reimbursement call centers or specialty pharmacies.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOC, HITRUST, and GDPR.
- Experience in developing agentic AI solutions.

In addition to our great environment, we offer a competitive salary of $310,000 to $345,000 and benefits package and the opportunity to make a significant impact on a first-in-industry digital health solution.
