We are actively looking for people who want to develop their skillsets, take on new challenges, and advance their careers within the organization.

We are seeking a Proposal Advisor to join our Regional Support Western Canada team. You will have accountability and take ownership of proposal and marketing material from start to finish. Your natural drive to succeed and sense of urgency will help navigate the business and leaders alike in our proposal response cycle by juggling competing priorities and projects under tight deadlines all while leading us to success on project pursuits. Working with the Proposal team, together you will develop large multi-sector proposals and marketing materials from start to finish.

Primary responsibilities

  • Independently lead proposal efforts for medium to high complexity opportunities, including those for top-tier clients involving cross-sector and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to technical teams by shaping proposal content to align with evaluation criteria and highlight key differentiators.
  • Contribute to pursuit planning and win strategy development, including integrating compelling themes throughout the proposal.
  • Write and edit non-technical sections to maintain a unified, client-focused voice across the submission.
  • Oversee the structure, formatting, and visual consistency of proposal documents using Word and InDesign.
  • Interpret RFP requirements to confirm compliance and identify opportunities to strengthen the response.
  • Develop and manage proposal schedules and internal workflows to meet all submission deadlines.
  • Lead Go/No-Go meetings and debrief sessions to inform future pursuits.
  • Maintain accurate proposal and pursuit records in CRM (Dynamics 365) and support internal reporting needs.
  • Support capture planning and pre-RFP activities in collaboration with business line leaders.
  • Curate and update the content library (resumes, project sheets, templates) to reflect current capabilities.
  • Mentor and support junior proposal staff through informal guidance and project-based collaboration.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in proposals or marketing in a consulting/engineering or professional services environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for quality and accuracy.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills in English, with a clear sense of narrative and structure.
  • Highly developed organizational and analytical skills; capable of managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven, multi-project environment.
  • Advanced formatting and visual document production expertise using Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex technical input into clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal content.
  • Effective collaborator with the confidence to independently lead proposal efforts.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365), procurement platforms, and electronic submission protocols.
  • APMP Certification is an asset.
  • French language proficiency is an asset.
  • A portfolio and examples to share your work.
