We have an exciting opportunity for Project Engineer Water Resources interested in joining and growing our infrastructure team. Working with other members of our team, you will champion the delivery of high-quality projects that meet or exceed client expectations and delivering planned profits. You will also be a strong safety proponent /leader for our safety policies and our culture of caring.
You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and in our downtown Vancouver, BC office.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed design for municipal water and wastewater servicing projects
- Managing, planning, organizing work with technical groups in the delivery of project deliverable requirements including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans
- Tracking, controlling, and reporting on project performance
- Prepare and supervise engineering studies, environmental assessments, reports, calculations, plans and contract documents, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Lead and assist in the pursuit of new projects, including the development of technical scope workplans, schedule, project team organization, and task-level budgets.
- Build relationships with existing and potential clients; liase with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, project stakeholders and contractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
- 7-10 years of broad and extensive technical deign, administrative and project experience within consulting companies, specifically in municipal water /wastewater systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.).
- Strong water & wastewater technical background, including extensive knowledge of all project phases (including conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration).
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, business development and client liaison experience.
- Excellent, innovative, and practical customer service and a commitment to technical excellence.
- Ability to solve problems, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
The expected salary for this position is from $115,000 to $135,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
