About the role
We are looking for a data savvy Senior Commercial Insights Analyst, to join our UK team! The Senior Commercial Insights Analyst is an integral part of the UKPP & ANZ team. They will be the lead for regional commercial data and category analysis, investigating trends and sharing the ‘so what’ to aid our decision making. They will enable story telling through numbers and provide insight to the marketing & commercial teams whilst being prepared to challenge the team to push to even higher heights. They will report directly into the Commercial Director, working closely with the regional leads and lead team to fuel and shape our strategic planning and tactical decision making.
As our Senior Commercial Insights Analyst you will
- Arm the team with accurate, well thought through, summarised insights with a clear ‘so what’ from our internal and external data including NPD launches and category trends.
- Own and present with conviction and insight, the category updates at all relevant external meetings.
- Connect with the appropriate Category Insight manager within retailers, to build a solid partnership for trusted category and commercial insight.
- Present the State of the Nation for internal projects; define clear market targets, risks and opportunities.
- Own UKPP & ANZ retail reporting to ensure all regional requirements are achieved and consistent analysis is produced to lead insight and action.
- Be the first point of contact for the global NPD teams. Present findings from sessions back to the team and share insights. Gather data from the relevant account managers to summarise and recommend all final forecasts for the region and challenge where necessary.
- Be a close consult of the demand planning team to ensure launch volumes, ongoing run rate and market level activity are accurately reflected.
- Own the post promotional analysis and make future recommendations based on the data. Provide clear productivity analysis and assortment recommendations.
- Provide regional data and data for any new distribution opportunities.
- Update the business quarterly with clear NPD Decision Key analysis as well as any other data resources.
Who you will work with
- You will report directly into our wonderful Commercial Director, UK,PP & AUNZ
- You will work closely alongside the wider UK teams, including Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply, NPD etc.
About you
- You have a strong, demonstrable background within a Commercial/Category role, with a strong passion for the Beauty industry!
- You are a strong communicator, you can influence up with ease, respectfully challenge, present confidently and own and develop trusted cross functional relationships internally and externally, providing thorough plans and presentations with great commercial rationale.
- You can formulate a strong category strategy and align to retailer priorities. Have an analytical approach and way of thinking, with a love for quantitative data!
- You have a natural curiosity for understanding shopper behaviour, a willingness and hunger to get into the detail, easily identify trends in data and make clear recommendations. You are proactive with an analytical mindset, you are solutions orientated!
- You work well under pressure, you can ruthlessly prioritise and know how to influence up and work in an agile environment, with ease.
- You have a growth mindset, you help everyone see and be excited by what's possible. You are able to seamlessly bring everyone on the journey with you and give clear guidelines to the team and expectations for success. Lead by example.
- Have a flexible and professional attitude, you are hungry to learn and welcome challenge!
- Have exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, with great attention to detail and are results-driven.
