Capitol Bridge Inc is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team in Columbia, SC. The Project manager DHHS is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Capitol Bridge’s high-visibility Medicaid support services contract with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SC DHHS). This role ensures that all contract requirements are met with precision, and that the project team operates efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate is client-facing, highly responsive, detail-oriented, and capable of navigating complex government environments.
This role requires solution driven, proactive leadership, strong communication with internal stakeholders and SC DHHS, and the ability to lead a growing team of frontline agents and supervisors. The Project Manager will be key in managing the successful ramp-up of staff, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving operational ownership as Capitol Bridge transitions to full control of project delivery.
Location: Hybrid (near Columbia, SC preferred)
Pay and Benefits:
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 depending on qualifications.

Project Oversight & Operational Leadership
Lead the SC DHHS contract execution including service delivery, staffing, and issue resolution.
Develop and maintain project plans, staffing forecasts, risk logs, and performance dashboards.
Manage project milestones and deliverables to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations are met.
Oversee day-to-day work of frontline agents, supervisors, trainers, and QA personnel to drive performance outcomes.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for SC DHHS leadership, facilitating weekly check-ins, performance updates, and escalation responses.
Build and maintain a professional, solution-oriented relationship with client stakeholders to instill trust and demonstrate ownership.
Provide regular written and verbal updates to both internal leadership and SC DHHS representatives.
Staffing and Team Development
Collaborate with recruiting and HR to onboard and ramp up to 35 agents by mid-July.
Partner with training and quality teams to implement refresher training and ongoing staff development initiatives.
Coach supervisors to manage performance and provide consistent frontline leadership.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports, client communications, issue logs, and staffing updates.
Prepare and present weekly updates highlighting performance metrics, risks, and mitigation actions.
Assist in the development of project-related materials such as updated SOWs and contract amendments.
Risk Management and Quality Control
Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid service interruptions.
Work closely with QA to ensure all deliverables meet internal and external quality expectations.
Monitor and report on KPIs, audit scores, and compliance with SC DHHS expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing large-scale operations or government contracts.
Prior experience with Medicaid, HHS, or disability-related programs is highly desirable.
PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Confident in decision-making, conflict resolution, and performance management.
Experience leading teams in a government contracting or healthcare-related environment strongly preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana), and Google Workspace.
Familiarity with case management, CRM, or workflow tools
Ability to analyze trends and proactively respond to quality or operational issues.
