Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

Partner with the Data Governance Manager to advance and execute the overall data governance agenda.

  • Prepare and maintain thorough data documentation including data models, process flows, governance policies, and stewardship responsibilities.

  • Work closely with IT, data management, and business units to implement data governance best practices and oversee migration efforts from SAP ECC to S/4HANA MDG.

  • Monitor data governance activities, measure progress against KPIs, and regularly report outcomes to senior leadership.

  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to promote a strong culture of data governance within the organization.

  • Maintain deep expertise in SAP and other ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards) master data structures such as Vendor, Customer, Cost Center, Profit Center, and GL Accounts.

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

B.E

Experience :

  • 9+ years of extensive experience in data governance, SAP master data management, and data quality, preferably in oil & gas or financial services industries.

  • Proven track record implementing data governance frameworks within SAP environments, covering both transactional and master data domains.

  • Expert knowledge of core data governance concepts: data definitions, catalogs, ownership, lineage, policies, controls, monitoring, and governance forums.

  • Deep understanding of SAP ERP data structures and peripheral systems, with strong awareness of upstream and downstream impacts of master data changes.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and key business contacts to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements for Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions.

  • Hands-on experience driving master data solutioning projects, including SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with detailed knowledge of master data attributes and their organizational impact.
