Description
Responsible for the routine testing of chemical products and process samples in order to meet safety, production, quality and environmental standards.
- Perform routine testing of finished products, in-process and raw material samples utilizing the following methods/techniques: wet chemistry, UV-VIS, FTIR, particle size, Microtrac, GC, ICP, BET, and XRD.
- Calibrate lab equipment, standardize reagents, and analyze reference samples.
- Make sample pick-ups, maintain & distribute sample containers.
- Calculate test results, prepare & distribute analytical reports.
- Moderate physical exertion – up to 60% of time spent walking, standing, climbing, bending or stooping.
- This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Requirements
- Reading, writing and math skills comparable to a high school education, plus 3+ years of relevant experience in an inorganic analytical laboratory. Prefer 2+ years of college chemistry.
- Good analytical skills, experience with computer software and spreadsheets, and effective oral and written communication skills are required.
Day shift, plus overtime and callouts as required to support production.
The salary range is $30.54-$35.69/hour plus benefits, including healthcare, 401(k), PTO leave, vacation, and 10 paid holidays/year.
