The Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and overall success of the global Business Development function and driving pipeline and revenue. This senior role requires a blend of strategic vision, leadership acumen, and operational excellence to drive high-impact results.
What You’ll Do:
- Global BDR team oversight: Leading our global BDR function across our core markets.
- Strategy Development: Develop and drive strategies to achieve key metrics, including sales accepted leads (SALs) Meetings completed, conversion rates, pipeline generation, and bookings.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance the BDR function, aligning with company-wide goals and market trends.
- Team Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing BDR team through effective coaching, mentorship, and professional development programs.
- Performance Management: Drive the daily activities and quota performance management of individual metrics (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Campaign Strategy: Strategize campaigns, spiffs, and approaches to meet quarterly and annual targets.
- Pipeline Optimization: Architect and refine the BDR working model to maximize pipeline impact, leveraging both inbound and outbound prospecting efforts.
- Develop BDR Success plans: Build and roll out BDR success plans and roll out to all BDR team members.
- Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with Marketing Leadership, Sales Leaders, and Revenue Operations to ensure cohesive strategy execution and continuous improvement.
- Inbound Management: Oversee the inbound BDR function, ensuring efficient and effective lead handling.
- Team Management: Build and manage strategies for hiring, training, coaching, and motivating BDRs.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain productive relationships with Sales Leaders.
- Process Excellence: Design and optimize workflows and account assignments, ensuring efficient and effective BDR operations.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience: 5+ years in B2B SaaS business and sales development with a proven track record of driving pipeline through strategic outbound and inbound prospecting efforts.
- Global team management: Demonstrated success in leading and managing international and North American BDR teams.
- Strategic expertise: Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies that align with company goals and market trends, specifically within a BDR function.
- Team leadership: Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing BDR teams.
- Pipeline optimization skills: Expertise in designing and refining BDR models to maximize pipeline impact.
- Collaborative approach: Proven ability to work closely with marketing, sales, and revenue operations teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
