US/Global Insights Leader - Weight Management

AstraZeneca is seeking a strategic, analytical leader to join our Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolic (CVRM) Insights, Analytics & Forecasting team. In this influential role, you’ll lead the integration of insights and analytics to inform brand strategy, drive commercial performance, and shape key decisions for our CVRM portfolio.

Accountabilities:

• Generate actionable insights by consolidating primary market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence.

• Translate business questions into clear insight plans and meaningful recommendations.

• Drive strategic decisions through robust analysis of patient and physician behavior trends.

• Partner with Brand, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to optimize brand strategy and sales force performance.

• Guide the design, execution, and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative primary market research.

• Lead analytics, KPI development, and business case analysis in collaboration with our Centers of Excellence.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Business, Commercial or Scientific related degree

• 5-10 years analytical experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer industry

• Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research across different stakeholder groups e.g. HCPs, patients and payers

• Proven ability to conduct analytics using secondary data sources key to the pharmaceutical industry (IQVIA, Symphony, Prognos,, Decision Resources, patient level data) and performance tracking

• Good business acumen, strategic thinking and understanding of sales and marketing business practices

• Ability to influence laterally and vertically

• Global mindset and high emotional intelligence

• Ability to manage multiple tasks/assignments to demanding deadlines with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as teamwork abilities

• Comfortable working in a matrix environment

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Experience in leading insight for a specialty product with knowledge of specialty pharmacy and buy and bill distribution and tracking

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• MBA

• High degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes and methodologies

• Preferred:  Experience in weight management & cardiometoblics

• In depth knowledge of regional market dynamics and/or in-market or regional experience

• Experience within the Cardiovascular, Renal, Metabolism therapy areas
