Role Purpose

The Logistics Solutions Manager will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and implementing automation solutions, as well as broader logistics solutions. This role will support our growth strategy, delivering efficient solutions to enable us to sell at better value

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of logistics solutions across warehousing and distribution centers.
• Ownership solutions from discovery, to business case, to delivery, including proof of concepts
• Scope and implement broader solutions, including scanning technology and warehouse optimisation tools
• Ensure alignment of physical and digital solutions to optimise operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and engineering.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives in logistics solutions and systems.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Partner with the network design team to support long-term logistics strategy development.
• Contribute to network modeling, capacity planning, and scenario analysis.
• Provide insights on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Act as a key liaison between operations, solutions providers, and senior leadership.
• Communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and actionable manner.

What You’ll Need

• Deep understanding of automation and engineering solutions used within the retail logistics industry
• Hands on experience of solutions delivery
• Ability to flip between tactical delivery and strategic development
• Understanding of business context, needs, rules, and architecture.
• Advanced level skills in identifying potential stakeholders and developing strategies for managing them.
• Ability to envision and document the future state of processes and products.
• Experience in prioritising components of a project, program, or portfolio work.
• Proficiency in planning, organising, prioritising, and overseeing activities to meet business objectives.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's or First degree, Graduate or Equivalent Level experience. Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in your area of expertise. Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives
