Job Description

About the Role

Arthur is seeking a smart, resourceful, and highly organized Operations Associate to help scale and support our internal operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in making sure our company runs smoothly behind the scenes: owning core vendor relationships, driving compliance workflows, and helping our teams stay aligned and efficient as we grow. You’ll report directly to the Head of Operations and work cross-functionally across the company to implement lightweight, effective processes and systems. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career with sharp problem-solving skills and a strong bias for action, possibly with a background in consulting and/or entrepreneurship, who’s excited about joining a high-performance tech startup.

What you'll do

  • Vendor and purchasing management: Manage relationships with our external vendors, track contracts, review performance, and maintain access controls and permissions across tools and systems.
  • Internal operations and AI tooling support: Support and implement operational processes across functions—streamlining how we manage tools, projects, reporting, and communication. Help evaluate, implement, and drive adoption of AI-native tools and automations across the company, with a focus on measurable impact and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and risk project coordination: Own and maintain compliance checklists (i.e., SOC 2), support internal access reviews, and coordinate documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Team enablement: Coordinate internal comms and updates from the leadership team, and drive alignment on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Office and admin management: Oversee day-to-day office operations including space access, physical and digital security protocols, mail handling, and vendor coordination for workplace services.
  • Event logistics and execution: Support planning and execution of company events: sourcing venues, coordinating vendors, managing run-of-show logistics, and ensuring smooth experiences for attendees

What we’re looking for

  • 2–4+ years of experience in operations, consulting, and/or startup environments
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Experience managing external vendors or contractors
  • A strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing across competing needs
  • Highly proactive with a bias toward action and iteration
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, former founders or operator-types are encouraged to apply

You might also have (nice to have, not required)

  • Experience in strategic consulting environments and looking to break into tech/startups, early-stage startups, and/or VC-backed companies
  • Experience with SOC 2 compliance, spend audits, or access/security reviews

What to expect at Arthur

  • Teammates who value curiosity, hard work, collaboration, and creative problem-solving -- and good swag
  • A team of professionals who are passionate about our work and making a positive impact through AI
  • A caring culture; we value and prioritize our team’s physical and mental health, encouraging and celebrating life outside of work
  • Autonomy to pursue your role and interests with room to grow, with a team behind you that always has your back
  • Joy, humor, and a little dose of healthy competition (in our business, we win as a team; on company game night, may the best Arthurian win…)

We offer

  • Competitive compensation plus medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401K
    • Our annual compensation range for this role is $90,000 - 110,000, based on your experience and how your skills align with role requirements.
  • Equity in what we’re building together, backed by some of the most respected VCs in the industry
  • A flexible learning and development budget: we’ll cover a masters in computer science, or support ways to learn and grow in the areas that matter to you
  • Highly discounted fitness and wellness benefits
  • Flexible PTO with vacation minimums, which we really want you to take and enjoy
  • The ability to work in a flexible hybrid environment (from your home and in our office) with our team in NYC
