We work closely with our Engineering counterparts on products like CarPlay, CarPlay Ultra, Digital Car Key and Driving Focus Mode. We partner with broad multi-functional teams inside Apple to solve hard problems to ensure that our customers have a seamless and familiar experience while in their cars. We are seeking a motivated System QA Engineer with data analysis skills to join our dynamic team.

Description


We're searching for a creative and motivated engineer with a strong background in end-to-end system level testing, and an interest in using data to drive quality improvements. As a Car Experience System QA Engineer on our team, you will work with your peers and cross-functional partners in test planning, developing and deploying automation solutions, analyzing test data and field telemetry to extract meaningful insights, tracking program metrics, and reporting comprehensive quality status to key partners. Your keen attention to detail, passion for technology, data-informed approach, and desire to make a difference, will help drive the success of our products in the market.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field 2+ years of hands-on experience in software and/or hardware QA testing Proficiency in scripting (Python or Swift preferred), with practical experience in designing and writing automation for testing purposes Experience in analyzing datasets (e.g., test results, logs) to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, or inform decision-making. Ability to communicate and document complex issues and bring attention to emerging problems

Preferred Qualifications


Strongly preferred in-depth experience with the following fields: wireless technology (Bluetooth Classic/LE, WiFi, UWB), video and audio, and/or automotive infotainment. Experience in developing test strategies, getting alignment with key partners, and conducting end-to-end validation via manual and automated tests, ideally informed by data insights. Familiarity with data transformation, and data analysis and visualization tools/libraries Basic understanding of statistical concepts and their application to quality engineering (e.g., time-series analysis, trend analysis, anomaly detection). Ability to prioritize a full workload while achieving extraordinary quality.
