How will you make an impact in this role?
The Director, Market & Liquidity Risk Governance will be reporting to VP – Market & Liquidity Risk, within the Financial Risk Management Group. Specific responsibilities for the team include:
- Develop the working model to facilitate smooth submission of risk management committee materials and high-quality committee discussions
- Contribute to drafting and maintenance of risk policies and standards in line with company policies and regulatory expectations
- Engage with stakeholders across line of defenses to ensure program consistency with enterprise-wise guidelines and respond to stakeholder inquiries related to risk governance
- Drive consistency and synergies across these risk pillars, becoming a central point of contact for collaboration
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives across liquidity and market risk teams, such as risk reporting and data capabilities
- Provide effective challenge to key risk decisions and strategies to strengthen financial risk management frameworks based on internal/industry best practices and changing regulatory landscape.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8-10+ Years relevant experience in treasury, finance, governance, regulatory interactions, or risk management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex concepts for senior audience and to influence stakeholders at various seniority
- Proactive in identifying issues, delivering and escalating key risk initiatives, and advising on recommended solutions to enhance the strength of risk management and oversight
- Ability to think critically and independently, devote significant attention to details, remain highly organized, and clearly communicate complex material to management
- Self-motivated, result oriented with a keen sense of meeting deadlines for key milestones
- Self-confident with a strong sense of integrity and the ability and willingness to challenge (and be challenged)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-reward control perspective
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial concepts/ financial markets and prior experience in treasury/finance function a plus
- Proficiency in the design and implementation of risk frameworks at large financial institutions
- CFA/FRM a plus
- Graduate degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in regulatory interactions or regulatory agencies
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
