Job Description

Human Resources:

  • Conducts full-cycle HR activities including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, performance management and exiting;
  • Work with management to promote workplace satisfaction by addressing employee's complaints and claims;
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management every year; reconciling monthly medical, dental and vision insurance invoices;
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining personnel records;
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures;
  • Provides supports to special projects as needed.

Office Management:

  • Identifies needs and makes purchases of office supplies;
  • Plans and organizes employer- sponsored events such as outing and annual party;
  • Receives and processes shipping requests sent by employees;
  • Reconciles invoices of office purchases and keeps track of office spending;
  • Provides special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or HR certification from an accredited program/college preferred;
  • Fluent Chinese Mandarin or Cantonese required;
  • 7+ years of experience of progressive and full life-cycle HR functions including recruiting, personnel records management, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration and employee exit;
  • Knowledge of federal and California employment laws, EEO regulations, and standard HR practices and procedures; candidates familiar with global HR practices preferred;
  • Interpersonal Skills—the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things;
  • Oral and written communication—be able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrating group presentation skills and conducting meetings; editing work for spelling and grammar;
  • Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance;
  • A high level of confidentiality in handling employee information;
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel/Word; experience with ATS.
