As a Subcontract Engineer you will be responsible for;

· Develop subcontract specifications, statements of work (SOWs), terms and conditions, and negotiate requirements and scope.

· Initiate and manage subcontracts throughout the full lifecycle, from the bidding phase through contract completion.

· Collect and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for programs.

· Track and report progress on subcontractor milestones, consulting regularly with program management, operations, engineering, and senior leadership.

· Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all subcontract activities; communicate impacts to cost and schedule with program management.

· Ensure subcontractor deliverables meet technical, schedule, and cost requirements.

· Support supplier evaluations and participate in make/buy decisions.

· Maintain compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications;

  • · Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; technical background preferred.

    · Minimum 5 years of subcontract management or supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.

    · Demonstrated experience negotiating technical subcontracts and managing supplier performance.

    · Strong understanding of contract terms, flowdowns, and compliance requirements.

    · Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and statements of work.

    · Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    · Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · Experience supporting government contracts and working with FAR/DFARS requirements.

    · Background in engineering or technical program management.

    · Experience working in a small to mid-sized manufacturing company environment.

 

Salary Range: $120k- $170k
