The Business Development Manager, Gardner Cryogenics, is accountable for driving market share and profitable growth via its liquid helium and hydrogen product line. This includes gathering and analyzing market data, competitor landscape, and customer requirements to establish and implement commercial and selling strategy. It is a customer facing role, internal and external, including strategic relationship development as well as individual opportunity management. In addition, the role works closely with the technical product development team to ensure market needs are translated into development programs.

Required Skills / Abilities:
- Analytical mindset and results focused with strategic approach to business development
- Leadership and influence in building a high performing culture and organization
- Customer relationship management, contract management, sales negotiation skill required.
- Global commercial experience with respect to cryogenics product line related to liquid storage and liquid transportation
- Global responsibility / international sales experience
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Highly cross functional, requiring effective relationships and influence within Gardner and in the greater Air Products organization to achieve results
- Ability to communicate at all level and demonstration of Ethical practice
- Strong sales skill to handle and market new product line.
- Uphold Air Products safety philosophy for both the workplace and projects.
- Co-ordinates the review of Client’s specifications and procedures and manages Client deliverables
- Sales of Liquid Helium and Hydrogen storage and transportable equipment including new market creation.
- Accountable to delivery on revenue and profit
- Customer interaction, account responsibility of customer
- Defining and executing on business strategy
- Strategy for intercompany customer and trade customer
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical / Industrial engineering required, ME / MBA a plus.
- 15+ years commercial experience in selling cryogenics storage and transportable equipment to industrial gas companies required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support customer interface meetings
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Knowledge of Liquid Helium and Liquid Hydrogen product line
