Description


Communicate and promote Transair Product solutions, capabilities, and services to AHP employees and customers. Support sales activities and requirements of our contracted lines. Provide technical support of products through application knowledge. Coordinate field requirements including product shipment, scheduling labor with Installation team manager, site surveys, etc.

Receives requests for quotations, orders, and lead times from customers. Makes quotations on standard items, processes orders, and relays pertinent order information to the customer. Coordinates with other departments in handling purchase orders, and providing value-added services to customers.


  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interact with the installation team manager.
  • Working knowledge of Parker Transair products
  • Act as the technical/commercial expert by providing over-the-phone and in-field technical support.
  • Meets with key clients to ascertain and provide solutions for Transair Piping needs.
  • Support Transair Installations as required (i.e., Site installation visits)
  • Assists customers and AHP outsides sales representatives by responding to the following in a timely manner: requests for quotes, order entries/inquiries, application assistance, product selection, and resolving customer issues. 
  • Uses P21 system to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders, and make changes to customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
  • Checks with the accounting department concerning customer credit status when orders are entered into P21 System.
  • Contacts vendors to locate requested items to meet customer's delivery requirements. Relays this information to customer.  

Requirements


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates. 

  

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent technical degree strongly preferred. At least 2 years related experience required. 

  

Physical Requirements: 

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
