Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented, technically gifted Creative/Design Specialist III to play a critical role for AECOM's brand ambassador efforts throughout the United States.

This creative talent will perform creative and graphic design tasks and participates in presentations to deliver a range of outputs that effectively convey a message and capture the attention of our intended audiences. Uses a broad mix of design software and technology to create online and offline designs including digital layouts, web graphics, video, public meeting materials and other collateral tasks. Acts as a brand ambassador for the AECOM brand and its usage.

Job Summary

  • Understands organization, client base and strategic priorities.  Establishes relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Reviews the visual layouts of other less experienced team members and has the ability to manage visual challenges and stakeholders.
  • Creates outstanding branded visual design layouts.
  • Is highly capable within a specific discipline or area of software and has a wide understanding of the creative process and landscape.
  • Applies strong creative understanding to inform cross-functional teams to meet and exceed project goals and client needs.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a strong understanding of client expectation, quality assurance and brand compliance.
  • Ensures that all creative work meets brand guidelines and standards and able to review work of junior team members to ensure brand compliance and consistency.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. Able to manage less experienced team members and develop collaborative workflows to meet project deadlines.
  • Able to collaborate and project manage complex proposals with multiple different outputs to deliver compelling digital and printed media.
  • Coach entry level designers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Digital Design / Graphics
  • 5 + years of experience.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is a must.
  • Must be well versed in Powerpoint and possess expertise with Microsoft Word & Office Suite usage.
  • Must possess strong graphic design skills including styles and automated file set up.
  • Map design experience a plus or GIS experience highly relevant.
  • Ability to integrates with cross-functional teams, including copywriters, marketers, and developers, to ensure creative work aligns with project goals and client needs
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

  • Offered rate of compensation (Minneapolis, MN.) area only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual salary for this opportunity is $80,000.00 - $110,000. 00.
