Job Description
Our client, a fast-growing, digitally native brand in the personal care and wellness space, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their team. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic planning as the company continues to scale.
As CPA, you will lead core accounting processes, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparation. You'll collaborate with leadership across finance and operations to support data-driven decisions and maintain fiscal health.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Lead budgeting, cost tracking, and cash flow analysis
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes
- Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
- Support financial planning, investment analysis, and risk management
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and systems integration
- Deliver insights into financial performance and identify improvement areas
- Active CPA license (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in high-growth or startup environments
- Expertise in GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting
- Strong proficiency in accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero)
- Advanced Excel skills and data-driven mindset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- E-commerce or consumer goods industry experience is a plus
