Schedule Details/Additional Information:

This role works predominantly day shift with some evening and weekend needs.

Provides operational support to develop and sustain a comprehensive approach to simulation education. Provides leadership in achieving simulation-based education goals that align with strategic organizational outcomes. Fosters innovation and excellence in simulation and serves as a resource. Promotes teamwork, continuous staff development and curricula evaluation to deliver the highest quality and most impactful education methods.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Implements strategies that drive a consistent system approach to simulation based learning.
  • Manages and directs simulation team members and site based faculty to drive excellence in simulation based training.
  • Manages operational budgets for simulation centers to ensure resources are utilized appropriately and deployed throughout the system as necessary.
  • Manages internal and external stakeholder relationships to promote simulation priorities across the organization.
  • Acts as member of the Learning and Development team to develop comprehensive system wide learning strategies, ensuring simulation is represented in our direction and priorities.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)


Education Required:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, or
  • Master's Degree in Education or related field.


Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in a clinical setting. Includes 3 years of management experience in planning, designing, and delivering simulation-based learning.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Role may require Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate patient simulation scenarios; collaborate across diverse functions and executives with the organization.
  • Current with simulation education research and practice, familiarity with use and maintenance of simulation equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of employee development experiential-based learning methodologies.
  • Ability to understand, conceptualize, and interpret research to demonstrate the relationship between growth in organizational learning and its relationship with business metrics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, interdependent manner with all levels of employees and possess strong client relationship building skills.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of people, including managing through difficult situations, valuing unique differences and leveraging strengths.
  • Facilitation, consultation, design, implementation and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Utilizes evidenced based practice principles in course content design.
  • Strong computer knowledge in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible with changing priorities.

Pay Range

$50.05 - $75.10
