Design Engineer - Electrical / Houston, TX: Design & create Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear/Switchboard drawings & bills of materials from which company will build custom electrical switchgear/switchboards. Requirements

  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical power systems.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings (skid layouts, building elevations, bussing details, Single line diagrams, three line diagrams, elementaries, etc.)
  • Knowledge of common industry testing practices and processes (i.e. IEEE C37.20, NETA ATS/MTS)
  • Ability to review and interpret test data for compliance.
  • Knowledge of electrical interface details of EEC equipment as per specifications. 

Required Experience & Education

  • 4-6 years of Electrical Design experience within an Industrial Manufacturing setting. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • General knowledge of ANSI, NEMA and IEC standards. 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
