As a member of the Corporate Technology Support - Workstation Vulnerability Remediation team, the Associate Systems Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operational support with the timely rollout of security patches and ensuring full compliance. The role will focus on automation efforts and vulnerability remediation within a Windows environment. This position will primarily support U.S. business hours and requires coordination with cross-functional teams to improve processes, implement automation, handle exceptions with cybersecurity, and support project-based work.
Essential Functions:
Create software packages using BigFix and SCCM.
Follow and implement best practice methodologies for monthly OS patching and third-party software vulnerability remediation.
Design and implement automated solutions that reduce costs, promote standardization, and increase efficiency.
Drive innovation and global collaboration with Operations partners to minimize redundant tasks and improve overall efficiency.
Evaluate and improve support processes and methodologies based on operational requirements.
Manage, triage, and drive resolution of operations escalations with a proactive approach to reduce future incidents.
Serve as the point of contact for Exception Management and related requests.
Provide support during U.S. business hours and be available during weekends for emergencies when necessary.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree OR 2- 4 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate level: 2- 4 years of professional experience.
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Strong technical expertise in Windows OS.
Hands-on experience with software packaging tools such as BigFix and SCCM.
Hands -on experience with PowerShell scripting.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of innovation and reliable execution.
Proven track record of driving technical initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance end-user technology.
Solid background in compute infrastructure and deployment/release processes.
Familiarity with workstation deployment and configuration in secure environments is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in shift-based, globally distributed teams is preferred.
Hands-on experience developing and automating solutions for the Windows platform.
Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys, Fortify, AppScan, or similar.
