Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Civil Engineer III to join our team in our Nashville, Office.

This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful civil infrastructure and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in land development and water resources design, including stormwater management, site grading, and erosion control.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with technical, and civil engineering design or provide Project Management
  •  Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:
    • Stormwater management design 
    • Site grading 
    • Erosion and sediment control design 
    • Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
    • Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications 
    • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
  • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
  •  Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer


Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s or associate degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  •  6+ or more years of experience in land development civil-site engineering
  •  Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software
  •  Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
  •  Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred
  •  EIT or PE Preferred
  •  Familiarity with ArcGIS software is preferred
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills
