We are hiring at Microdeb for a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden!
We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team in Gothenburg. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using modern technologies and development practices. This role involves working across the full development lifecycle, with a focus on code quality, performance, and infrastructure integration.
Our Gothenburg team is a collaborative group of software developers who build and maintain reliable, high-quality systems. We work closely together across the full development lifecycle, sharing knowledge and supporting one another to solve technical challenges.
The team values clean code, modern tools, and continuous improvement. We utilise technologies such as C# .NET, SQL Server, and Azure, and we’re hands-on with infrastructure, testing, and deployment.

What your day will look like:
- Design and develop complex software systems using C# .NET and SQL Server
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions that meet business needs
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
- Diagnosing technical issues with the codebase and infrastructure, to understand how things work and how they can be improved
- Develop and implement testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance tests
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server for data modelling, query optimisation, and performance tuning
- Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and software quality
- Participate in code reviews to maintain consistency and quality across the codebase
- Support infrastructure initiatives, including:
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Working with containerisation tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Supporting cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure) and monitoring solutions
- Improving system reliability, scalability, and deployment processes
About You:
- At least 4+ years of hands-on software development experience with C# and .NET is essential
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline is highly advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in working with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
- Comfortable working within a Microsoft Windows Server environment
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools and concepts, including containers, CI/CD, and cloud platforms
- Based in or willing to relocate to Gothenburg, Sweden, is essential
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is essential
- Legally authorised to work in Sweden
