The Impact U will make:
- You will report to our Senior Director of Quality Assurance
- Lead backend QA/Testing initiatives, owning quality across services, APIs and database layers.
- Define and create test cases based on acceptance criteria and in conjunction with best practices established by our overall QA team.
- Determine test case candidates for automation, providing the appropriate validation as defined in the test case.
- Write automated integration, API, and/or UI tests to be included in the regression suite.
- Participate in executing manual test cases, where required as well as release regression testing.
- Review acceptance criteria and discuss with the developers to determine unit test case coverage.
- Update and maintain an automated regression test suite while expanding UI & API functional test coverage.
- Contribute to our test frameworks and services.
- Contribute to our long-term vision and strategy for QA and Test Automation.
- Make testing an integral part of the development process.
- Report bugs and follow them through the complete bug life cycle.
- Understand system performance / load requirements and coordinate testing.
- Mentor / Lead junior QA engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the QA function.
What U bring:
- 5+ years of related Quality Engineering, Software Engineering experience.
- Javascript experience required.
- CodeceptJS & K6 experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, and ownership of product quality.
- Experience writing test plans and test cases is required.
- Experience in analyzing logs using APM tools such as DataDog, New Relic, Observe, etc.
- Experience with testing Artificial Intelligence LLMs is a plus.

💲 Hiring Ranges:
- Tier 1: $130,000 - $170,000 base salary
- Tier 2: $115,000 - $150,000 base salary
Unqork employs a market-driven approach to establish compensation ranges. In addition to a base salary, employees may also be eligible to receive a target incentive and company equity in the form of stock options.
An employee’s compensation within the range provided above depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, their location, role, skillset, level of experience, and similar peer salaries.
As a remote-first company, Unqork incorporates a geographic differential into our compensation structure, depending on the candidate’s location. We utilize a tiered system—Tier 1 and Tier 2—to accurately reflect local market rates and ensure our compensation packages are both fair and competitive.
Our geographic tiers are defined as follows:
- Tier 1: New York Metro, Seattle Metro, San Francisco Bay Area
- Tier 2: All other US and US territory locations
