Job Description
At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an Automation Tester to join our UniQue team.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create test plans and automation strategies.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Create and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and/or API layers.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Review test results and logs to identify issues and work with development teams for quick resolution.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test scripts, and test results.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation in a software development environment.
- Proficiency with one or more automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Strong scripting/coding skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar languages.
- Experience with test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
- Experience testing REST APIs with Postman or similar tools
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of tests in build pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Experience on the following would be considered as asset:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- ISTQB or similar QA certification.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of French would be considered as asset.
