Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

Tiverton is seeking a proactive and resourceful Data Operations Analyst who can play a critical role in managing, analyzing, and optimizing data, while also undertaking various other tasks endemic to a fast-growing company. The desired candidate will be a detail oriented problem solver with the desire to work in a dynamic environment.   

The Analyst will be integral part of not only Tiverton but the many companies we invest in, providing an exciting opportunity to explore multiple industries and helping inform critical decisions. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and energized by working with a group of thoughtful, smart, and skilled colleagues. He or she will enjoy being a part of a young and hungry organization focused on becoming the pre-eminent investment firm in US food production. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work closely with various teams, including investment, operations, and portfolio management, to support their data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security
  • Develop and generate regular reports and dashboards for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations
  • Stay current with new tools, technologies, and methodologies in data analysis and visualization, and present these tools to the broader team to improve data analysis and visualization capabilities
  • Communicate with third party data management software providers and raw data companies to increase efficiency of connection among the tech stack

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, MIS, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years’ experience in data analysis, data management, or related roles
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, and BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and using data insights to support business objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with the development processes and best practices such as data quality, testing, and code reviews
  • Dedicated work ethic, commitment to enhancing the team, and problem-solving skills
