Pay Range: $22.90 – $28.62 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

An Administrative Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation, Administrative Division. This detail-oriented professional will assist the department with recruiting needs for two divisions. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator and collaborator who can build a high level of trust and effective relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
  • Four years of clerical and administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook computer skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

The Administrative Assistant job responsibilities include:

  • Work with hiring managers and partner with Human Resources Department to ensure proper hiring processes are adhered.
  • Draft, review and finalize job postings.
  • Maintain recruitment tracker and update hiring managers with information as necessary.
  • Manage documents in and out of the department required for hiring process.
  • Ensure appropriate employee records are maintained.
  • Provide routine administrative support which may include, but not limited to scheduling meetings, performing mail pickup and distribution functions, responding to inquiries and requests for information, processing of monthly reports, and data entry.
  • Other related duties assigned
