The WA Care Fund (WCF) within Home Community Living Administration (HCLA) at DSHS is hiring key team members now to assist as we move toward the full implementation of the program. Beginning in 2026, the innovative work that you do now will aid qualified people and their authorized representatives to apply for and access their earned benefits that help pay for daily-living activities. In this role, as the Office Service Manager, you will work collaboratively with the regional administrator and deputy regional administrator in the assigned region and provide support services for business operations, business functions, manage facilities, supplies and equipment for facility operations and in addition you will also act as the safety officer, purchasing coordinator and designated records coordinator while assisting and managing with the day-to-day operations of a busy office.
Please note: This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement as business needs allow. In this posting we have two available positions - one in Region 2, and one in Region 3. The duty station will be determined upon hire. Occasional travel to other offices may be required based on business needs.
Region 2: NW Washington - King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan and Island Counties.
Region 3: SW Washington - Thurston, Pierce, Pacific, Lewis, Clallam, Jefferson, Mason, Kitsap, Grays Harbor, Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Skamania and Clark Counties.
As the Office Manager you'll:
- Collaborate with regional administrators to optimize office space, supplies, equipment, and safety compliance.
- Ensure all staff have appropriate IT access levels, phone services, and have needed equipment, furniture, and supplies.
- Plan and organize the timely completion of requests to ensure new and existing employees are set up to have proper building access, badge, phone, etc.
- Evaluate space availability, occupancy, and necessary accommodation, including seating, and pods, for everyone required to be in the office.
- Ensure office security system, maintain the system for building access for all staff.
- Assign, review, and coordinate, work, develop and carry, out a performance development plan for team members.
- Provide oversight into Motor Pool vehicles, prepare and complete request for vehicle arrangements, replacement and equipped with safety supplies.
- Responsible for scheduling, maintaining, and reporting for assigned state vehicles.
- Prepare, review and process purchase requests ensuring receipt of goods and services prior to payment by consolidated business services.
- Attend & participate in meetings, training as request by supervisors.
- Serve, assist and ensure participation as needed with the building and safety committee meetings in all WA Care offices.
- Ensure accountability for the proper receipt, storage, distribution, inventory and documentation of work products and maintain inventory log are accurate.
- Responsible for ensuring all records are archived and compliance with the retention policies and schedules.

Who should apply?
A bachelor’s** degree involving major study in business administration or closely allied field AND two years in office or business management, planning, organizing, and coordinating work in a business office or administrative closely related work.
OR
Two years of experience as an Office manager, Administrative Assistant 3, Management Analyst 1 or equivalent experience.
OR
Six years of professional/practical experience performing demonstrated office or business management or administrative analysis in addition to supervising professional staff.
**Additional qualifying experience will substitute, year for year, for education.
