Job Description: ServiceNow Developer - Part time

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSC, IRM, CSM) to align with business requirements.

  • Design, code, and implement ServiceNow solutions using scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Glide), workflows, and UI customizations.

  • Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs, web services, iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft), MID servers, and ETL tools.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.

  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and work with ServiceNow support teams to resolve complex development-related challenges.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, development standards, and integration guides.

  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, new features, and industry best practices to enhance development processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with expertise in developing and customizing ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSC, IRM, CSM).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required; additional certifications such as CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) in one or more modules preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development tools, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), ServiceNow APIs, Flow Designer, and UI Builder.

  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, MID servers, and third-party tools like MuleSoft or other iPaaS platforms.

  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, data models, and module interconnectivity.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
