The Role
We are seeking an experienced Compliance professional to manage our established team as maternity cover. This is a key role working across a tech-forward business at a senior level and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance standards are maintained across all jurisdiction that we operate in, as well as taking responsibility for AML policies, processes and reporting globally. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
Responsibility for compliance across five jurisdictions (UK, Malta, Sweden, Ireland and Indiana).
Leading a team of 18, with three direct reports who manage Compliance & Customer Operations, AML and Technical Compliance.
Being the primary point of contact for all of our regulators.
Leading both internal and external audits and executing remedial actions where necessary.
Managing all types of licence renewals across our various entities.
Performing the MLRO/Nominated Officer function, analysing cases of internal suspicious activity and where appropriate ,filing these with the relevant financial intelligence units.
Regularly reporting to the board of directors.
Leading the safer gambling strategy and ensuring compliance with safer gambling regulations across all jurisdictions.
Updating internal policies, procedures and risk assessments in line with operational changes and industry developments.
Managing relationships with third-party service providers.
Must haves
3+ years of experience in a similar role.
A strong understanding of the UK-regulated market.
Previous AML experience that would make you suitable for holding the role of MLRO/Nominated Officer.
Experience dealing with regulatory bodies.
Nice to haves
Exposure to other licences such as MGA, SGA and US.
Operational management experience.
Experience with Safer Gambling
