Job Description

Description

Help People Grow—and Watch the Organization Thrive

At See Rock City, Inc., we believe in creating moments that matter—for our guests and our partners. Behind every incredible experience is a team of people who feel equipped, empowered, and engaged. That’s where you come in.

As the Talent Development Manager, you’re more than a trainer, you’re a builder of people, a connector of teams, and a champion for growth. You’ll design learning experiences that reflect our values, lead leadership development programs that prepare the next generation of managers, and support partners at every level of their career journey.

This is a hands-on role for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump into a training session, lead a workshop, or have a one-on-one coaching conversation. You’ll work closely with leaders across the organization to identify needs, build strategies, and implement real solutions that make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do

Every day looks different—but here’s what you can expect:

  • Partner with leaders across the business to identify growth opportunities, skill gaps, and training needs.
  • Build and deliver learning programs that equip teams with the tools they need to do great work, whether it’s onboarding a new hire or developing a seasoned manager.
  • Create a leadership development framework that supports leaders at all levels—focusing on communication, coaching, accountability, and team success.
  • Facilitate interactive, inclusive workshops and coaching sessions that keep learners engaged and inspired.
  • Ensure all training content is current, accessible, and relevant to the needs of our diverse teams.
  • Lead and evolve our Guest Service training, ensuring partners feel confident and connected to our culture from day one.
  • Support career development by offering coaching, growth planning, and access to internal and external resources.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and training partners when needed.
  • Lead workforce development and community engagement initiatives in alignment with our talent pipeline strategy.
  • Provide clear communication, direction, and support to your own team while managing schedules, budgets, and goals.

What You Bring to the Team

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A strategic thinker with the heart of a coach—someone who can connect dots, solve problems, and guide others toward growth.
  • A natural communicator who makes learning accessible and engaging for everyone, from front-line partners to executive leaders.
  • Curious and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes, programs, and people.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple projects without losing sight of the big picture.
  • An inclusive leader who understands the power of diversity and creates environments where everyone feels they belong.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s or professional certifications preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR, training, or organizational development, especially in roles focused on team development, coaching, or engagement.
  • Experience facilitating and designing learning programs and workshops across various audiences.
  • Familiarity with leadership development tools, coaching methods, and talent strategy.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to energize a room and adapt on the fly.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices in adult learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfortable learning new tech tools and platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, move around the property, and spend time on your feet.
