Director, Park IT

What you get to do:

  • Delivery of Information Technology services for [list parks]
  • Manage and review the asset management process for IT hardware
  • Management of the implementation of technology for all projects impacting the parks
  • Work with your Corporate IT partners to overcome local obstacles
  • Educate the staff to ensure ANSI/TIA-758-B standards are followed
  • Communicate the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of all IT systems including but not limited to local telecommunication systems, network cabling and switches, NVRs (camera system), Access Control, Digital Signage, and any other system on the local network
  • Manage/review financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budget adherence/monthly reviews of financial activity for the department
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Implement and enforce all IT policies and procedures
  • Educate the team on ITIL best practices and implement those best practices to improve team performance
  • Manage IT staffing including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Develop and test contingency plans for system outages to allow continuity of operations
  • Provide a business resumption plan for all areas as deemed appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field. Master's Degree preferred
  • Five years of technology related work experience supporting enterprise-wide technology
  • Three years of leadership experience
  • Experience in maintaining IT systems for human/animal health and safety, and revenue generation in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience with Operational IT trends and implementing change to improve team and overall system performance
  • Understanding the complexities of a campus environment and providing direction on installing fiber/copper
  • Deep knowledge of configuration and capacity planning for wired and wireless networks, including high density wireless and high availability/usage network design
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills including business partners, all levels of leadership, employees, and contractors/vendors
  • Have exceptional customer service orientation
  • Have strong project management skills
  • Experience managing outside plant (OSP) and structured cabling
  • Have proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco and Avaya solutions
  • Experience with Motorola Radio systems and FCC requirements
  • Work well in a high pressure, fast paced environment which requires night and/or weekend availability
  • Be safety conscious in the performance of duties and be aware of other employees' safety as well
  • Be comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • The ability to push/pull 150lbs, ability to lift 25lbs, and walk > two miles per day as needed for in park activities
  • Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
