The Importance of the Role

The Senior Director, Opinion Leader Programming, leads the strategic development and execution of global ad boards for Sarepta’s cross-functional objectives for both commercial and portfolio products. Additionally, the Senior Director will oversee the execution of Sarepta’s annual Congress Plan, which includes managing the booth development/management and activities at 35+ global congresses. The Senior Director, Opinion Leader Programming works closely with key cross-functional partners, including Clinical Development, Marketing (ELEVIDYS & PMO), Gene Therapy Site Readiness, Medical Affairs, Payer, LGMD, Clinical Diagnostics, Global Market Access, and Patient Affairs, and also manages external vendors. This position is responsible for presenting findings from ad boards and congresses broadly across the organization, including to senior management. To achieve these objectives, the Senior Director will manage a team of three employees within OLP.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

  • Manage and support opinion leader programs to include the following:

  • Key opinion leader (KOL) management and strategy

  • Develop and execute Congress strategy and support

  • Lead advisory board strategy, content development, and execution

  • Manage and enhance internal and external relationships with colleagues, thought leaders, and strategic business partners

  • Actively manage key strategic partners/vendors to ensure execution on agreed timelines, budget, and quality deliverables and engagements

  • Represent OLP as the lead on booth submissions and congress activities with the Promotional Review Committee (PRC)

  • Have a working knowledge of FDA regulations and submissions to OPDP and APLB

  • Ensure key deliverables are executed in accordance with Sarepta’s global compliance and regulatory policies

  • Represent marketing/commercial team on key cross-functional teams, and support cross-functional efforts

  • Ensure Sarepta’s compliance and quality standards are integrated into core marketing deliverables

  • Execute congress debrief meetings to ensure valuable congress insights are shared across the broader organization

  • Ability to plan and manage a multimillion dollar budget

More about You

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced science degree (MS, PharmD) preferred 

  • 12+ years of related experience

  • Understanding of CRM and associated data management systems

  • Experience executing key opinion leader ad boards globally

  • Experience executing a congress strategy globally

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical, communication, and project management skills to effectively translate ideas and insights into actionable plans

  • Previous people management experience

  • Strong leadership abilities to influence and lead across a matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to create clear global commercial strategies and work across functions to facilitate seamless execution

  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multitask in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $216,000 - $270,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
