What You'll Do

We are looking for a Data Engineer I to join our Enterprise Data Analytics team. You will work with data engineers and data scientists to develop data solutions that facilitate creation and operations of machine learning models to provide insights and automated decisions across the enterprise.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field with 0-2 years experience
  • Developing ability to write readable, maintainable code in Python and SQL 
  • Basic understanding of data structures and data modeling techniques 
  • Foundational knowledge of data management functions including data collection, transformation, and processing 
  • Experience or coursework in data science and machine learning concepts 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment 
  • Willingness to participate in code reviews and learning opportunities 
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality 
  • May be required to provide on-call support 

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out  

  • Basic AWS knowledge 
  • Experience with common data science/ML libraries in Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools 
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) 
  • Previous internship or project experience in data engineering or analytics 
  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts and their applications  

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$60000 - $82000 / year
Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule with a frequent 7am CST start time.

Work Environments

This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA or Charlotte, NC.
