Position Overview
PHIL is seeking a talented and experienced Bilingual Translator & Interpreter to support real-time language interpretation and translation services for our pharmacy call center operations. This role will focus on live interpretation, written translation, and multilingual customer support to ensure seamless and accurate communication for Spanish, Vietnamese, and Mandarin speakers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during live calls between Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese and English speakers, depending on assigned language focus

  • Translate written materials including product information, safety documentation, and customer correspondence

  • Support pharmacy customers by answering inquiries and explaining prescription services in a culturally sensitive and accurate manner

  • Collaborate with pharmacists and medical professionals to ensure clarity and accuracy of complex medical information

  • Document translation activities and customer interactions in internal systems

  • Review translated materials for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness

  • Participate in quality assurance reviews and remain current with medical terminology and relevant regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation Studies, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum 2 years of professional translation/interpretation experience

  • Native or near-native fluency in either Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese; professional fluency in English

  • Strong grasp of medical and pharmaceutical terminology

  • Prior experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical call centers strongly preferred

  • Certification from recognized translation organizations (e.g., ATA, NAJIT) is a plus

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools

  • Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills

  • Culturally aware and able to communicate effectively across diverse populations
