Responsibilities
We are looking for passionate Project Manager with Security Operations Center (SOC) experience to join a new Government program who will be responsible for supervising a security operations team that is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, including cyberattacks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The SOC Project Manager is expected to:
- Supervise a broad team of engineers and other technical staff supporting SOC operations.
- Create processes; assess incident reports; and develop and implement necessary crisis communication plans.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for incident response and vulnerability management.
- Maintain adherence to relevant security standards and regulations.
- Coordinate, lead and oversee the response to security incidents.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on SOC’s operations effectiveness.
- Collaborate with team members and other program groups to improve the customer’s engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data/infrastructure security.
- Provide On-Call escalation support 24x7x365, as needed.
- Implement solutions using industry standard patterns and best practices.
- Stay current with security industry trends, including emerging threats and security solutions.
- Hire, train, and evaluate team members’ performance.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
- 10 years of relevant experience managing large-scale cybersecurity or SOC contracts.
- Experience leading federal cybersecurity programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of network and web related protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
- Familiar with SOC SIEM, SOAR, and security monitoring tools.
- Must have experience in using ticketing systems to manage incidents and requests (e.g., ServiceNow tools).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security topics in an understandable manner.
- Experience in MS Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
- Must be able to capture security metric data from tools to present trends for decision-making.
- Must have an active Secret Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.EEO
