Controller of Accounting

We are seeking an experienced Controller of Accounting to join our team of restaurants located in the heart of Miami's Little Havana on Calle 8. This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings.
• Manage cash flow and optimize financial performance.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with management to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) – essential for effective communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a small accounting team.
