People Operations @ OMG
We are seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven, and analytics-focused People Operations Generalist to join our growing team. This role will support and help improve core HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance, payroll and benefits, and system administration, while also contributing to full-cycle recruiting.
As we scale, you will play a key role in helping build systems that grow with us, like streamlining workflows, reducing manual work, and identifying opportunities to leverage automation or AI-powered tools to drive smarter people operations. This is a hybrid role that will require in-office work based in Dallas, Texas.
Day in the Life
People Operations (focus: 60%)
- Maintain accurate data across all HR systems, e.g., HRIS, payroll, benefits
- Serve as the first point of contact for questions about benefits, payroll, and HRIS systems
- Manage HR systems and workflows, and help launch new tools with a solutions-focused approach
- Partner with Accounting and our MSP to support payroll processing, audits, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Administer benefits, manage eligibility and open enrollment, and support OMG’er inquiries
- Manage and contribute to key OMG’er lifecycle processes, e.g., onboarding, offboarding, compliance
- Keep internal documentation and knowledge bases up to date
- Maintain and coordinate the HR calendar, e.g., audits, policy updates
- Support compliance training and development initiatives by tracking completions and coordinating rollouts
- Stay current on employment law, HR tech, and compliance trends
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation or AI-supported solutions in partnership with the People team
Talent Acquisition (focus: 40%)
- Manage end-to-end interview coordination, scheduling, and candidate communications
- Post jobs, maintain ATS pipelines, and drive applicant flow
- Conduct background checks and employment verifications
- Support hiring managers with role kickoffs, scorecards, and structured hiring processes
- Track recruiting metrics and maintain clean data
- Deliver a consistent, high-touch candidate and onboarding experience
Must Haves
- 2-3 years of proven experience in a People Ops, HR Generalist, or similar HR support role
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems and tools
- Experience supporting payroll, benefits, and compliance processes
- Solid understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience managing or supporting full-cycle recruiting, including ATS management, interview coordination, and candidate communication and experience
- A team-first mindset that builds trust across the organization and approaches work with curiosity and humility
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience in the software or high-growth tech industry preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus
- Experience working with modern HR tech stacks, including AI-enabled or automated tools, is a plus
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
