Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Systems in support of the Sentinel weapon system program. This highly visible individual contributor role will be in Roy, UT and will support the Air Force’s development, production and deployment of the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) ground and airborne launch control systems, launch facilities, launch control centers, and associated infrastructure. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.
In this role, you will lead interface product development and integration efforts for Sentinel WS. As an interface team member you will participate in conducting weapon system interface development, design integration and verification planning. The primary nature of this role is in support of the Sentinel EMD program milestones.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Development and maintain Sentinel WS interface metrics for program leadership
- Lead interface team program-increment (PI) and sprint planning for 50+ individual contributors
- Present metrics and provide updates to leadership regarding interface readiness for MPE events.
- Work with the internal and external Sentinel stakeholders to release interface products at technical review boards
- Support interface trade studies and risk mitigation tasking.
Basic Qualification for a Principal Engineer Systems:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field & 5 years of related experience; Master's degree in a STEM field & 3 years of related experience; PhD in a STEM field & 1 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
- Ability to collaborate and contribute to technical discussions with team members, cross-organizational teams, and management
- Ability to provide direction to multiple SCRUM teams and product owners.
- 1+ years of experience supporting interface CDRL development for Sentinel EMD.
- 1+ years of experience working with MBSE tools (Cameo)
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must have Special Access Program (SAP) for Sentinel Program
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience managing requirements in DOORS
- 1+ years of experience working with Systems Engineering and Integration and Test (SEIT) processes on the Sentinel Program
- 1+ year of experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA/Confluence)
- 1+ years of experience supporting trades studies

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package
