Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
We seek to add a capable, highly motivated Coordinator, Program Standards & Operations to our team. You will serve as a department liaison in our interactions with internal divisions and external partners. You will also provide direct administrative support to the head of the department as needed. You will possess effective communication and organizational and diplomatic skills, excellent multi-tasking skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide broad administrative support to the department, including scheduling and assisting with department meetings and presentations, maintaining department records, updating and tracking assignments, reconciling expenses, ordering supplies, and ad hoc projects.
- Serve as the main point-of-contact for department inquiries, including website registration requests, general IT matters, and issues with internal systems.
- Proactively monitor department systems and processes and develop and implement innovative ideas that improve the way we work and support cross-team collaboration and information sharing.
- Operate the delay mechanism during live programming, including outside regular work hours, and assist with delay operator scheduling.
- Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion regarding all business matters.
- Shows a strong understanding of, or eagerness to learn about, operational workflows and content formats, and how they support planning and collaboration across teams.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum one (1) year of full-time work experience; prior administrative support, media internship or Page Program experience a plus.
Desired Characteristics:
- Technologically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and OneNote.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, work efficiently, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
- A passion for diverse film and television content including broadcast, cable and streaming offerings across the industry.
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
