About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Principal Cloud Consultant who will drive our cloud practice forward and help us deliver exceptional results for our clients. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with technology while also diving deep into complex business challenges and translating technical solutions into compelling business value that keeps customers coming back.

You'll be the bridge between our technical teams and our clients' leadership, designing solutions that scale and presenting strategies that win. Think hands-on technical expertise meets strategic consulting, with plenty of variety to keep things interesting.

What You'll Be Doing

Technical Leadership & Innovation

• Architect and implement robust cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments that perform at scale
• Collaborate directly with our Cloud Systems Engineering teams on our on-going projects
• Lead cloud transformation projects from strategy through execution
• Identify operational gaps and build automation frameworks from inception to implementation that reduce cognitive load and eliminate manual processes
• Help solving challenging technical problems that push the boundaries of what's possible
• Ensure all solutions meet security and compliance standards without compromising performance

Client Strategy & Engagement

• Work directly with C-suite executives and key client stakeholders to understand their business goals and technical challenges
• Transform complex technical concepts into clear business narratives that drive decision-making
• Lead discovery workshops and architectural planning sessions with key stakeholders
• Build trusted relationships that extend beyond individual projects
• Guide clients through their cloud journey with strategic recommendations and practical next steps

Business Growth & Thought Leadership

• Drive the technical aspects of high-value proposal responses and RFP processes
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop winning strategies for competitive opportunities
• Present technical solutions and demonstrations that showcase our capabilities
• Contribute to thought leadership content (our CTO office) and represent the company at industry events
• Help shape our service offerings based on market trends and client feedback

What We're Looking For

Core Experience:

• Extensive hands-on cloud engineering and architecture experience - if you're not excited about writing Infrastructure as Code and testing prototypes, this role isn't for you
• Experience in client-facing roles
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
• Experience with both greenfield implementations and large-scale migrations (brown field)

Technical Expertise

• Deep proficiency in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or hybrid cloud architectures - think designing, building, and security-approving production applications that scale beautifully under pressure
• Strong background in infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices - think turning manual chaos into elegant, self-healing systems that deploy flawlessly
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Understanding of cost optimization strategies and cloud financial management
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident response best practices

Communication & Business Skills

• Excellent presentation skills with experience speaking to technical and executive audiences
• Strong written communication abilities, especially for proposals and technical documentation
• Natural curiosity about business challenges and how technology can solve them
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and navigating complex organizational dynamics

Languages:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.

Certifications:

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS certifications) are highly desirable.
