We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Manager to lead commissioning quality assurance efforts at a cutting-edge semiconductor facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of commissioning from construction QA/QC to systems handover and integrated systems testing, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, life safety, and process systems meet the highest standards of performance, documentation, and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full commissioning lifecycle: construction QA/QC, pre-functional checkouts, functional performance testing, and owner acceptance.
- Manage commissioning scope across multiple systems: mechanical, electrical, controls, life safety, and process.
- Develop and manage project commissioning schedules, startup matrices, and trade deliverables to ensure green tag completion.
- Coordinate commissioning/startup activities with construction teams, design engineers, OEMs, and the client.
- Chair commissioning meetings, assign and track action items, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Oversee commissioning of highly specialized systems: cleanroom environments, ultrapure water, process gases, chemicals, waste treatment, high-voltage electrical systems, HVAC, and automated controls.
- Monitor systems performance and ensure compliance with industry and facility standards.
- Manage IST (Integrated Systems Testing), Site Functional Acceptance, and performance validation processes.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluating system design and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain a comprehensive commissioning plan and track the status of checklists, test scripts, and issue resolution.
- Review, approve, and maintain all QA/QC documentation, commissioning reports, and final turnover packages.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, company procedures, and customer specifications.
- Manage a corrective action tracking system and drive timely resolution of non-conformances and field issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all QA and commissioning-related matters with owners, general contractors, and trade partners.
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you as part of your role.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of QA/QC or commissioning experience in complex facilities (semiconductor, pharma, datacenter, or critical environments preferred), is required.
- Management experience is required.
- Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary commissioning projects in operational facilities.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, automation/control systems, and commissioning standards (ASHRAE, NEBB, ISO).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project tracking tools (e.g., Procore, BIM 360), and commissioning software platforms.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical field is preferred, but not required.
- OSHA 30
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
