The Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer position within the Data team will be responsible for end to end development and deployment of AI Agents and ML systems within the organization. The data team is responsible for developing and implementing cutting edge tools and products to support different business verticals, ensure industry leading security and best practices. The team is heavily focussed on internal customer success and bias for action.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining AI/ML system components and services to support business teams. Contribute to internal frameworks, libraries, and tools to standardize and simplify the platform stack.

• Create and solidify user personas that are mapped within AI systems to provide the correct business context answers based on users interacting with the system

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand underlying infrastructure and develop a more robust infrastructure.

• Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to incident reviews and improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in backend or full-stack engineering roles, with 2+ years building AI/ML systems or data platforms in production.

• Programming: Expert in Python, Java, or Scala; strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• ML & AI: Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and familiarity with LLMs, vector search, or reinforcement learning.

• Data Engineering: Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Kafka, Airflow (or equivalents) and SQL; solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing.

• Cloud & DevOps: Production deployments on AWS/GCP/Azure; containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and IaC.

• Collaboration: Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; proven track record of mentoring peers.

Preferred:

• 2+ years building AI/ML systems in production. Experience in vector databases and search, Hands on experience with Databricks.
